Pre-Roll Cone Certifications - What we Have and They Don't

The cannabis industry is still a taboo concept for many individuals, and the idea of heavy regulation doesn’t usually cross the minds of its consumers. What’s better is the looks on the faces of those who learn precisely how intense the process is for becoming a legitimate business in this industry. Not all companies reach for the stars, but we at HARA Supply have volunteered our time and efforts to ensure a quality product, best business practice, and 100% conformity to the never-ending list of regulations that business owners in the cannabis sector must abide by in order to legally operate. As a company that affiliates with cannabis in a big way, we have worked hard to fully certify our business so that we can bring you the absolute best experience and quality products.

What We’ve Accomplished:

ISO 2019 Certification

We received our ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2019, which holds us as a cannabis affiliated organization accountable for the implementation of internationally certified quality management systems and processes. We spent between three and six months on training our staff on how to improve processes with regard to production, packaging, and customer engagement.

After successfully completing the training and receiving our certification, we have proven capable of producing tangible examples of our quality assurance procedures and efficiency when producing products and services on a consistent basis, as well as measurable progress with regard to customer satisfaction.

GMP Certification

In addition, we have obtained our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification, which provides third-party verification that our basic manufacturing practices are up to par for the implementation of an effective “Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point” (HACCP) food safety program. GMP certification covers all aspects of production.

This includes any starting materials, the premises where production occurs (in our case, our factories), the equipment used in the process, and even the training and personal hygiene of our staff to ensure the highest quality finished product and service that we can possibly offer.

Child Resistant Compliant Packaging

Since recreational cannabis sales made their debut in 2014, packaging regulations have evolved. Shops can no longer send joints or any other cannabis product out in paper bags; they need to be properly packaged for safe handling. In order to remain compliant with state laws, the packaging must undergo a multitude of tests as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA) and meet guidelines to be sufficient for use by a cannabis manufacturer, dispensary, and consumer.

Child-resistant (CR) packaging is used to reduce the risk of poisoning in children via the ingestion of potentially hazardous items. Including but not limited to certain prescription and OTC medications, pesticides, household chemicals, and in the 21st century: recreational and medical marijuana.

And while most states that have legalized cannabis for recreational use require that all infused products to be sold in CR packaging, many also require that the containers be opaque (not translucent) and resealable for dosing purposes, as well as have a tamper-evident feature. Obtaining and selling proper CR packaging is a large part of our quality management. At HARA supply, we only provide the highest quality compliant packaging for the safety of consumers everywhere. You can find our line of premium CR packaging in the form of boxes, tins, and plastic blunt and joint tubes on our site today. You can also read on the difference between Non-CR and CR Packaging.
